For example, copper alloy smelting can use 98% purity, while active metals such as lithium and beryllium require more than 99.5% high-purity graphite.

Nowadays, the density of graphite crucibles made by isostatic pressing process has reached more than 1.8g/cm³, the structural strength has increased by 50%, and the penetration of molten metal has been effectively prevented.
