In the field of new energy, graphite plates are often used as bipolar plates in hydrogen fuel cells to guide electrons from the circuit to external devices and separate hydrogen and oxygen to prevent them from running wild and causing explosions. In the device for producing hydrogen by water electrolysis, carbon graphite plates are used as components of the electrolyzer to help decompose the hydrogen produced by water molecules.

In this process, wastewater containing toxic substances is usually introduced into the electrolytic cell, and the carbon graphite plate acts as an anode to release current and decompose the pollutants into harmless components. This method is more environmentally friendly and efficient than traditional chemical treatment.
