Graphite Bipolar Plate

Graphite bipolar plates are electron transport channels in electrochemical reactions, which can transfer electrons to electrolytes through conductivity, thus enabling battery reactions. It is the most widely used material in proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC). It has good conductivity and thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance and so on. It can resist the corrosion in electrochemical reaction and prolong the service life of the battery.

The graphite bipolar plate shall have the following characteristics:

(1) is a traditional bipolar plate material, often used as a reference system to study other bipolar plates;

(2) Good electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance;

(3) Because of the high porosity, gas and water can not be separated;

(4) High brittleness, high preparation and processing difficulty.
