Uses of graphite rods

What is graphite rod? It is a non-metallic product that people will think of when they need to cut materials. Since graphite rods have good high temperature resistance and are not easy to break, they can be used when we need to cut metal into the shape we want. Graphite rod, so what is the use of graphite rod?
1. As refractory material
Because graphite rods are resistant to high temperatures, they are often seen in the metallurgical industry and can be used to make graphite crucibles. Therefore, when used in steelmaking, they can be called protective agents and metallurgical linings.
2. Used as wear-resistant lubricating material
In the machinery industry, we usually use graphite rods as lubricants, because if only lubricating oil is used, it cannot be used under high speed and high temperature conditions, so graphite rods are needed.
3. Used as high temperature metallurgical materials
As we all know, graphite rods are made of graphite and carbon through appropriate binders, so its high temperature resistance can be used as a mold for glassware, making the size of the manufactured casting more accurate and saving more metal.
4. As chemical raw materials
When producing chemical products, fireproof graphite rods can be used because they can generate volume when heated and then expand rapidly to suffocate the flame. Therefore, they play a role in isolating flames during the production process and ensuring the safety of chemical products.
