Compared to traditional metal and ceramic materials, high-temperature resistant graphite molds offer greater longevity and reliability. Thanks to their exceptional thermal stability, chemical inertness, and machinability, they are increasingly playing a pivotal role in industries such as aerospace, semiconductors, photovoltaics, and metallurgy. Furthermore, the use of isostatically pressed graphite materials provides high-end manufacturing with solutions that balance performance and cost-effectiveness.

 

These molds are fabricated from isostatically pressed graphite. Unlike standard molded or extruded graphite, the isostatic pressing process imparts superior properties to the finished components, including higher flexural strength, lower porosity, and excellent self-lubricating characteristics.

 

Furthermore, the ability to create diverse shapes is a key attribute of graphite molds. Techniques such as precision CNC machining and wire-cut EDM allow graphite to be fashioned into components ranging from thin-walled crucibles and large-scale thermal field cylinders to complex-flow heat exchangers and uniquely shaped heating elements. For instance, in semiconductor single-crystal silicon pullers, graphite components are designed as heaters with precision threading; in photovoltaic PECVD equipment, they are machined into electrode plates featuring uniform gas-distribution holes. Each configuration is optimized-with respect to thermal field distribution, gas flow, or current density-to ensure a perfect synergy between form and function.
