Do You Need To Heat Treat Graphite Crucible
Leave a message
Graphite crucibles are known for their high temperature resistance, but they need to be preheated when they are used for the first time, which can improve their performance and extend their service life.
Whether the graphite crucible needs to be preheated depends mainly on its application. If the graphite crucible is used at a temperature of 1200°C, it is OK not to preheat it. However, if the graphite crucible is used at a temperature above 1200°C, we strongly recommend preheating it. This can avoid cracking of the graphite crucible at extremely high temperatures and harm to the operator.
