This makes them particularly suitable as molds for continuous casting or pressure casting. For example, when using graphite molds for metal casting, their surface self-lubrication not only effectively prevents castings from sticking to the mold but also significantly improves the surface finish of the castings. Many castings can even be used directly without further processing, greatly saving metal materials and subsequent processing costs.
